Kerry loves to travel – one of her favorite memories abroad was her trip to Japan and Vietnam where she joined in a celebration of her boyfriend’s great grandmother’s 100th birthday.

Kerry supports EnviroIssues’ Creative Studio as a graphic designer. She works on a variety of efforts, including large-scale megaprojects as well as internal marketing materials. A graduate of Western Washington University, Kerry brings a background in marketing and design. She leverages her ability to see things from a business perspective to find ways to bridge the gap between agencies and people. Kerry specializes in illustration, motion and information design, and loves to find ways to communicate to all people through her work.

A left-handed designer, Anh sometimes feels weird that she has one hand that knows how to do everything while the other can’t even hold a pencil.

Anh is passionate designer who is able to quickly develop graphics to solve project challenges. She earned degrees in business management and communication from the Art Institute of Seattle and has a range of experience in user experience and interface design, web design, iconography and advertising. Anh’s work has taught her that design is not just what something looks and feels like – it is how it works and how helpful is it to the community. In addition to designing, Anh has her own clothing brand in Vietnam and finds joy in cooking up her signature Asian dishes!

Born and raised in Seattle, Maya grew up surrounded by creative communities. She attended the Creative Academy at Seattle Central Community College, where she developed a passion for human-centric design. She is focused on using an empathetic approach to create designs that make lasting emotional connections and believes it's important to ensure designs are accessible, beautiful, intuitive, and inclusive. If you're ever in need of a good recipe, Maya has got your back and she specifically can make a mean steak (the secret is a Sous Vide and lots of love). Maya spends her free time watching horror movies, hosting potlucks for friends, and looking for the perfect rocks to scramble up.

While living in New York City, Marguerite once had a dream where a talking salmon with a Brooklyn accent told her to move to Seattle.

A self-described “language nerd,” Marguerite graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in English and Linguistics. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, she’s spent most of her adult life in Paris, New York, and Seattle. After beginning her career working for satellites of the French Embassy and the Belgian Consulate in New York, Marguerite went to work for a variety of nonprofit organizations focused on social equity, cross-cultural awareness, and education. After more than a decade as a communications, marketing, and development director, she decided to pursue her passion for web and software development. She sees all aspects of the internet – including the source code – as a powerful form of storytelling that has the potential to help decolonize the narratives of both cultures and individuals. She lives on Capitol Hill in Seattle with her spouse, 51 indoor plants, and 2.3 cats.

An ardent burger lover, Carlos has eaten craft burgers in 10+ states and 4 different countries. So far, Nashville’s “Stock&Barrel” holds the crown.

Born in Cuba and raised amidst the diverse cultures of South and Central Florida, Carlos has always been driven by a sense of adventure and creativity. With an interest in merging art with community engagement, he delved into User Experience (UX) design, discovering that it was actually web development’s perfect blend of design and functionality that truly resonated with him. In 2016, Carlos relocated to the Pacific Northwest, drawn by its natural beauty and opportunity to hone his snowboarding skills. Off the slopes and screens, Carlos delves into non-fiction, savors black coffee, and embarks on epic Dungeons & Dragons quests with friends.

Arthur Lee

Arthur once co-organized the largest fighting video game tournament in the history of Portland, bringing together more than 1,000 players from all around the world.

Arthur started going to school for coding in 2018, but took a pause to pursue his childhood dream of being a professional video game player. He joined the Echo Fox team and competed in tournaments across the globe for four years. During the pandemic, he pivoted back to coding and User Interface / User Experience (UI / UX) design, and found EnviroIssues, where he continuously hones all of his newfound skills as a web developer. His favorite projects have consisted of website rebuilds for a number of public agencies in the area, working to create a smoother interface for the public to learn about projects in their community.

In his pockets of free time, Matt can be found somewhere in a corner producing hip-hop beats on his SP-404.

Matt supports EnviroIssues’ Creative Studio as an Art Director. He loves the art of storytelling — he believes that the story holds beauty, but the art is in the telling. For the past 10+ years, Matt has worked with non-profits, small startups, and large corporations on effective brand strategy and marketing campaigns. When not sitting behind a camera or a computer, he can be found enjoying a cup of coffee or a cocktail while building something out of cardboard with his wife and son.
