About Enviroissues

ABOUT

Pat Serie founded Environmental Issues Management, Inc. nearly 30 years ago with the belief that it was not only possible but absolutely critical to effectively engage the public in conversations about the policies and projects that would change their everyday lives. The early members of the EI team knew that for a project to succeed, you needed to reach people where they live – something they understood better than most in those days, since they all worked out of their homes!

Pat was onto something – as agencies embarked on large, complex projects that required community involvement, more people began to ask for our help. The public involvement plans we develop and implement ensure that members of a community understood and could comment on the developments that affected their commutes, their water and power systems, and beyond. We shortened our name and lengthened our client list, moving into a broader array of projects and sectors.

Today, we have offices in Seattle and Portland staffed with experts in community outreach, public involvement planning, communications strategy, web design and development, and graphic design. Whether it’s the public involvement required as part of a regulatory process or a proactive communications strategy to gain support for a project, we have the expertise and experience in-house to get you to the finish line.
