Wayne Flowers

Wayne loves coffee. And Star Wars, sports and the outdoors. But coffee comes first—and being from Costa Rica, he’s used to some of the best in the world.

Wayne feels that the first step in generating positive impact is to listen. Holding a degree in journalism from the University of Costa Rica, he spent a few years in the newsroom before entering the field of strategic communications. For the past 20 years, Wayne has worked with organizations and multinational companies throughout Central and South America. His background includes supporting Latino nonprofits and small businesses in Kansas City, as well as heading the communications department at an international, nonprofit university in Costa Rica with a focus on agricultural sciences and sustainability. This, and other past experiences, prepared him for work in community involvement and public policy, crafting messages to reach a variety of audiences. Having relocated to Seattle, you can catch Wayne exploring neighborhoods and parks alongside his rescued pup, Lupe, always searching for the best coffee in town.
