Tay was awarded second place in a youth spoken word poetry competition even though they had lost their voice the day before.
Tay loves interacting with people who have stories to tell. Tay has experience participating in community engagement projects on topics ranging from climate justice to queer rights, combatting community displacement, and furthering immigrant and refugee leadership opportunities. With their knack for collaboration, relationship-building, and creative problem solving, Tay has built their career around centering community voices in land use planning, policy, and programming initiatives. Tay is a self-proclaimed tech aficionado, and with that, they bring experience in GIS mapping, data analysis, and graphic design. In their spare time, Tay participates in grassroots organizing efforts, plays video games, watches TV with their dog, and partakes in outdoor activities like dirt biking and paddleboarding.
