Laura Peña

Ask Laura about befriending a wild baboon named Deborah on the plains of Northern Kenya.

After graduating with a degree in organismic and evolutionary biology from Harvard University, Laura spent time honing her observational and tire-changing skills as a research biologist studying primate behavior. In the time since, she has applied her analytical and easy-going nature working in customer service and organizational culture consulting. As comfortable as Laura is behind a spreadsheet, she also enjoys being on the frontlines engaging directly with her communities. She brings experience in data management and equitable engagement, as well as a straightforward communication style, to her projects. Having called California, Massachusetts, Mexico and Kenya home, she is enjoying settling into Portland and is a regular at her local wine and jazz bar.
