Ellen Bakira
Ellen loves rainy Portland days spent working on a new crochet project. Her favorite project to date was making a life-size Baby Yoda.
Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Ellen and her family immigrated to the United States in 2003, and Ellen has resided in Portland ever since. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Business Administration. Ellen is passionate about working with others and finding ways to foster community engagement. She is highly committed to finding creative and sustainable ways to solve the most pressing issues. In her downtime, Ellen loves trying the latest brunch spots in town. She is on a mission to find the best French toast in Portland.
