David Hancock

David's favorite bumper sticker (because it applies to him and inflates his ego) reads, "I speak Basque. What's your superpower?"

David comes to EnviroIssues with a diverse background that includes a Spanish degree from Whitman College, culinary school, farming, cooking, professional tree-climbing, four years of teaching in Spain and a little professional bus driving. Given the Pacific Northwest’s current growth spurt, he couldn’t be more excited to be working on the SR 520 program, helping to rebuild and improve one of the region’s key transportation corridors. David approaches his work with an insatiable desire to learn ever more about regional history and urban policy. Whether playing flamenco guitar, riding his bike or crafting leather artwork, David believes that fomenting well-being and healthful growth may well be the most satisfying experience around.
