Brenda Martin

Brenda is a self-proclaimed transit nerd who loves to travel the world in search of fun and unique transit modes. She has taken a water taxi in Bangkok, a municipal elevator in Medellin, and the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto.

Brenda’s passion for transportation stems from riding the bus with her grandmother, who never learned how to drive a car. She has ten years of experience in transportation planning, community outreach, and project development in both the public and private sector. She is experienced in communicating technical designs, facilitating group discussions, and leading conversations at key project milestones. Brenda is always looking for opportunities to create more connected, walkable, and safe places for the most vulnerable of users. Throughout her work, she strives to elevate and give voice to people of color, low-income people, and those without the means or interest in driving, just like her grandmother. Brenda loves everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer including bikepacking, rock climbing, and hiking.
