Sulley was born and raised in Kona, Hawaii, and learned how to swim before she could walk.
Sulley has a background in communications, education and community outreach and is passionate about finding ways to connect people to the natural world. She is particularly interested in exploring ways to involve youth and underserved communities in the public engagement process. Prior to joining EnviroIssues, she served as an AmeriCorps member at West Seattle High School helping low-income, first-generation, minority high school students apply to college. In her free time, you can find her planning her next backpacking trip, running with her pup or checking out Seattle’s newest craft brewery.
