Samantha Herman

Samantha’s passion for the outdoors has cultivated in the newest addition to her bucket list: setting foot in every U.S. National Park.

Samantha is a recent graduate from the University of Washington, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, coupled with a minor in environmental science resource management. Her passion and enthusiasm for facilitating stakeholder engagement on environmental issues stems from her strong interest in public policy and communications. Prior to joining EnviroIssues, Samantha aligned herself with organizations in both the public and non-profit sectors, including working in the Environmental Affairs Division at Seattle City Light where she honed her data management and technical writing skills. Growing up in the Cascade foothills of Washington State, Samantha seeks solitude by way of hiking in the mountains where she aims to climb 100,000 feet in elevation every year. When not exploring new terrain, she enjoys a nice Sunday ritual of eating brunch and shopping at a local farmers market.
