Leah is a hardcore fruit enthusiast. You can be sure to find her bulk buying her favorite peach variety, the Diamond Princess, when it is in season.
Leah is passionate about creating and maintaining spaces where humans and the environment can co-exist in a sustainable manner. An East Coast transplant, Leah moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, where she graduated with a degree in environmental studies and nutritional sciences. Prior to joining the EnviroIssues team, Leah worked in the nonprofit sector supporting Washington state family farmers and small business owners. She is skilled in widespread community outreach, inclusive stakeholder engagement and large-scale event management. In her spare time, you can catch Leah cooking up the latest Bon Appétit recipe, listening to showtunes, reading a library book or shopping at her local farmers market.
