Kate has an extensive house plant collection and knows that talking aloud to them daily is key to their health.
Kate has over six years of community engagement experience, from the neighborhood to the federal level. She is a skilled event planner and loves developing creative ways to convey ideas and gather public input. Kate received her Master's in Public Health from the University of Washington, and appreciates the opportunity to work on projects that improve wellbeing in the Puget Sound, from traffic safety, to bike infrastructure, to water quality. When not biking or hiking, Kate is slowly learning to quilt and memorizing all the two-letter Scrabble words.
