Joe Basile

As a youngster Joe once won first prize at the Dauphin County fair for having the “Most Interesting Fun Fact”.

Hailing originally from the Keystone State, Joe moved to the Pacific Northwest nearly eight years ago and instantly fell in love with the majestic peaks, clean air, and towering trees of Cascadia. Joe has moved from the small town of Roseburg OR to Seattle to Portland and now back to the Emerald City to join the EnviroIssues crew. In that time he has gained experience in community outreach and policy analysis on diverse issues including farmland preservation, wetland mitigation, and transportation. Joe’s passion for public policy also inspired him to pursue a Master of Public Administration degree from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at UW. Joe is excited to bring his knowledge and experience in public engagement to the SR 520 communications team. When Joe is not at work he enjoys coaxing his elderly and reticent canine life-partner, Yip, to go on short walks through the park next to his house.
