Claire’s hidden talent is catching grapes in her mouth with near perfect accuracy.
Claire is passionate about the interplay between community and stakeholder values, clear communication, and successful and sustainable development. She believes that local knowledge is a critical part of resource management and effective decision-making. Her past work in the environmental sector has included diverse projects such as researching the importance of local input in the hydropower relicensing process, through which she developed a particular interest in renewable energy. Claire graduated from Scripps College in California with a degree in environment, economics and politics and a minor in Hispanic studies, but Seattle has always been her home. Since returning to the Pacific Northwest, she never gets tired of announcing that the mountain is out.
