Candice Plendl

Candice once balanced on the floating logs on Spirit Lake at Mount St. Helens, then swam in a nearby lake teeming with thousands of tadpoles. She still has not decided whether the latter was fun or not.

Candice is passionate about connecting our natural and built worlds. As a graduate of the University of Washington’s earth system science program, she brings an appreciation of planning, design, and environmental education for the betterment of a community. She has experience conducting outreach to promote green stormwater infrastructure, and supports various multimodal transportation efforts. As a Filipino-American, Candice approaches environmental issues from an equity lens, working to incorporate ecological issues into outreach messages that resonate with diverse audiences. On the weekends, you can find her out on a “Thadventure” with her husband and their corgi, Thaddeus.
