Ashley has seen the sunrise and sunset over the ocean in the same day – the perks of a 2 square mile island off the coast of Belize.
Ashley transplanted from Southern California to attend Western Washington University. She graduated in 2015 with a degree in environmental policy, emphasizing in economics and law. She loves a challenge – like studying the relationships between complex systematic topics such as gentrification, environmental preservation, economic development, generational poverty and private property rights compensation for public access easements. Ashley is passionate about the environment and fascinated by people. Her years of experience in community outreach, volunteer development and public speaking make her great at balancing the various priorities of different stakeholders. In her free time, she loves exploring new cities, adventuring with friends, going to the movies and is always looking for coffee shops with cozy reading nooks and good people-watching.
