Aileen loves to learn new songs on the piano and guitar, and will perform for (and jam with) anyone who asks.
Having graduated from Claremont McKenna College with an interdisciplinary degree combining the hard sciences, economics and public health, Aileen is passionate about exploring strategies for equitable development and community involvement. She firmly believes that improving urban resilience begins with active community participation, a belief that guides both her daily life and her work. Her past work has involved helping students design an experiment testing the health impacts of traffic-related air pollution, and she continues to work on projects that allow impacted communities to understand and help find solutions to urban development challenges. In her spare time, you can find Aileen at a neighborhood coffee shop, running around Green Lake or jamming out on her piano and guitar.
