Facilitation/Outreach Project Manager - Portland

We are looking for an energetic, creative professional with at least seven years of communications and facilitation experience to join our team in Portland. Project management experience is required, including developing and managing scopes of work and budgets. Consulting experience is required, as is work in one or more of the following sectors: transportation, energy, land use, infrastructure, environmental cleanup and/or natural resource management.

Qualified applicants will have:

  • Experience with facilitation process design, stakeholder assessment, advisory group and public meeting facilitation
  • Experience developing and implementing results-oriented public involvement strategies for a variety of public and private clients and audiences
  • Experience leading teams of varying size and expertise, coordinating efforts between multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience incorporating key messages and developing print and web/social media-based materials for a variety of activities/events
  • A commitment to equity and demonstrated leadership working respectfully and professionally in diverse, multi-cultural settings
  • The ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced team setting with a high level of initiative, creativity, tact and professionalism
  • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated experience proofing and reviewing draft materials to publish-ready standards
  • Refined oral communication skills and the ability to process information in a fast-paced consulting environment
  • The ability to understand and explain technical and environmental information to a variety of audiences, often in high-profile situations
  • Exceptional multi-task management and organizational skills, including developing work plans, scopes of work and budgets
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Conditions of Employment:

  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Local travel to sites/events outside of regular business hours
  • Occasional weekend and evening work to meet client needs
