Associate - Seattle

EnviroIssues is looking for a skilled associate to join our team. This position will help oversee a variety of projects based on the core principles of public involvement, outreach, and facilitation.

Qualified applicants will have:

  • At least two years of experience planning and conducting outreach or public involvement activities, or community/public relations, city or state planning, or general communications experience
  • Superior written communications skills including writing for the web, social media, fact sheets, meeting summaries and key messages and talking points
  • Excellent management and oral communication skills
  • The ability to understand and explain technical and environmental information to a variety of audiences, often in high-profile situations
  • Exceptional multi-task management and organizational skills, including developing work plans
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced environment team setting with a high level of initiative, creativity, tact and professionalism
  • Willingness to work at project offices as well as in our main office
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Seattle and surrounding region, in sectors such as transportation, energy, natural resources, land use and water
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • A bicultural and/or bilingual background a plus
