José “Joey” Posada

While Joey is constantly exploring new activities, playing the violin has been one of his longest lasting joys.

Joey is a creative, energetic communicator with experience developing and managing outreach strategies that center racial equity. His strong interpersonal skills and work with diverse groups of people have given him the opportunity to connect with vibrant communities throughout the Portland area. Joey grew up in Las Vegas, where he explored the unique desert ecosystems with his family and developed his passion for the natural environment and wildlife. He majored in environmental studies with minors in renewable energy and sociology, and completed his master’s degree in urban and regional planning in 2019. Joey is almost always on the go, but you might be able to catch him during one of his meditative sessions of violin practice.
