David Han

David is a solid waste nerd. If you let him, he will talk with you for hours about composting, recycling, and waste prevention. Please reach out to him if you ever want to talk trash!

David immigrated to Washington State from South Korea in the 1st grade and has lived here ever since. His passion for the environment and community led him to get a BAS in Sustainable Practices and a MAED in Urban Environmental Education. David is highly experienced in training and leading multicultural outreach teams to engage BIPOC community members and meet them where they are. He has also provided in-person and virtual training to local government partners and stakeholders on properly conducting culturally relevant community engagement. David is also a part-time professor of sustainability. Whenever he is away from his desk, David loves riding his bike on the Burke-Gilman trail and playing board games with his family.
